You have probably seen the sales pitches from network marketers saying thing like "we do the selling for you" or our system does the selling for you". Network marketers are going way out of their way trying to convince people that they can sign up with them and make money and not have to do any selling. Does this really make people money?
The answer is yes it makes a lot of money for the sales people who are claiming to make all the sales for you. But I have been involved with network marketing for many years and I have yet to know anyone who has made any substantial income by letting someone else do the selling for them.
All the people who I have known who have made a lot of money or even a living in network marketing were good at sales. And all of them who made money did so because they were the ones doing the selling.
Why are so many network marketing distributors claiming you can make money without selling? It's because they know most people don't like to sell. Not only that but most people are not good at selling and most don't want to become sales people. So in order to be able to recruit the masses many companies and their distributors come up with ways to convince them that they can join and make money without having to sell.
But in reality if you want to be a success with network marketing you are going to have to get used to the idea that you are going to have to sell. Not only that but you are going to have to get good at selling. The ability to sell is an excellent skill to have and network marketing is a great place to get these skills, but most people have no business being involved in network marketing.
Don't get me wrong, I do think network marketing is a great opportunity. However, it's not for most people. It's only good for people who are good at selling or who want to be good at selling. I think the industry would have a better reputation if it would stop pursuing the masses with misleading claims by people seeking a quick profit.
